Hi friends,
Looking for some suggestions on where we might visit in May? Usually we travel in Jan/Feb, but it looks like the schedule will not allow that this year. I know monsoon season and hot sticky weather is abundant in many areas during this time, so I'm wondering what everyone's thoughts are about where we might go. We were in Bali and Kuala Lumpur last year so probably wouldn't go back there yet. Anyone with travel experience in Laos at this time of year? Or Nepal? I've looked at a lot of the weather websites, but wanted some firsthand opinions. Thanks in advance!

Japan is very pleasant in May. The cherry blossom is on at the end of April. THe place was incredibly polite, and everyone was quite friendly. China might be good too, though I went in October.
Try to visit Japan or Singapore... These countries has a lot of good places to visit. Im sure you will enjoy. I've been in Singapore last year for a 4days vacation. Even if my stay is not too long still I enjoyed it.
Why not look into Nepal and Tibet if you are interested in culture, serene beauty and lovely people? If you are interested in walking 1-2 miles each way you would really get a lot out of such a trip. If you stop in KL I would have a driver take you to the Cameron Highlands for 2 full days. They are awesome unless you went last time. t
May is a great time to visit Japan.
