Where to buy N. Chandler map in BKK?
Can it be purchased at the airport?
Also, where can I buy an electricity outlet transformer (I'm not even sure this is the name) to plug in my US phone charger?

You can go to the Kinokuniya bookstore in the Emporium shopping mall...right at the Prom Phong skytrain station. Or you can go on nancychandler.net and the address of the company is there and you can go directly to the company and buy it. I haven't seen the map at all bookstores, but I know that Kinokuniya in Emporium has it. Happy Travels!

As far as your US phone, in my case... I'm able to just plug mine right in, without any sort of transformer or adaptor. Yours is probably already set for dual voltage also (if that's the right term) for 110/220.

Almost any hotel bookshop has the Nancy Chandler map, including the bookshops at the airport (I just bought one there). However, on arrival you won't pass the bookshops as they are in the departure areas, so you may not have a chance to get one there. I know you are at the Sheraton Grand and I feel safe in saying they have it at their hotel shop. If you want to buy it before you leave, you can buy then on Amazon.com and you could also order one from your local bookstore if you go to Nancychandler.net and get the info (you can also order it from here website).
For your mobile phone, if it is dual or tri-band (which it would have to be to work in Thailand), as noted above, the converter should be dual voltage (check the label) so you don't need a converter to convert the voltage. You may need a plug adaptor so that you can fit the plug into the wall socket (i.e., "adapt" your charger plug to the wall socket). Most Thai hotels use the large three prong sockets as in the UK. For a typical socket configuration for Thailand, see the website below. You can usually buy adaptors in places like Radio Shack, luggage shops, drugs stores, airport shops, on-line at places like Travel Smith, and your hotel will often lend or sell you one.
There is a website called voltagevalet.com that in my experience is a fairly reliable source of information on the type of outlet configurations you are likely to find in virtually any country in the world. Another helpful site is http://www.escapeartist.com/global/W...wer_Guide.html
