where not to boil in Mid to Late May
Any suggestions? We want to take our 20 and 22 year old for two weeks to "see and experience Asia." We have loved Thailand and Bali, but would love to do Burma, Viet Nam, Bhutan, Cambodia or whatever? Any help would be really appreciated.

Of course, in a mere two weeks you won't "see and experience Asia." You are wise to consider one place to visit in a two week period. Of the places you list, Bhutan will have wether that is coolest. Of course, traveling to Bhutan has hurdles that traveling to other places does not. It's also a minimum of $200 per day per person, and you are required to hire a Bhutanese tour operator to guide you.
www.weatherbase.com is the best weather site I know. You can look at each city you are considering and see average high and low temp, rainfall, etc.

Actually, the weather in Indonesia will be getting cool around that time. Bali isn't Indonesia, there's a lot more to this country than that. Why not explore central Java? There Yogyakarta with Borobodur and the Prabanan, Solo with the palaces and ancient temples in the hills beyond, then Malang and mount Bromo.
You can get there through Bali, and so have a day or two on the beach on either end.

We were in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia last May. My husband is quite heat intolerant.....Laos and Hanoi were quite comfortable for him, but we melted at Angkor Wat (I'd go again in a heart beat, though).
