What about Fullerton Hotel?
I'll go to Singapore next april after two months in South East Asia and I'm looking for a good hotel to rest a couple of days. Anybody has references of the Fullerton Hotel?

Beautiful hotel...peaceful location...and near the Raffles MRT(Subway) station, across the bridge from the beautiful Asian Civilizations Museum(a 3-minute walk), across from the boat quay where there are many restaurants...and not far, by subway or taxis(inexpensive in Singapore),from other areas of interest. I think it's an excellent choice and location...far removed from the hussle-bussle and commercialism of Orchard Road. Happy Travels!

I spent 6 nights there earlier in the year and Guenmai took the words right from me.
Beautiful hotel in a terrific location. We ate almost every night on Boat Quay, about 100 meters away.
Only negative is that the rooms are on the small side.

Kathie, by Singapore standards rooms are a bit on the small side (by European they aer still huge!) - even if I compare them to the Ritz or Raffles (which BTW are my 2 Singapore favs) they are somewhat smaller. Guenmai is abs right tho - great location. One of my all time fav restaurants, IndoChine has their waterfront branch a hop, skip and jump away from the Fullerton - do try it!

Thanks for the info, Hobbes. I agree that the location is great. I've been considering trying it my next stay in Singapore. I stopped in and looked at the public areas last year - they are lovely.

Hobbes...so you eat at Indochine,too? That's been one of my regular restaurants for years, but I do lunch at the Club Street one. The one by the Asian Civilizations Museum isn't opened for lunch...or maybe just isn't open for lunch on certain days? I remember trying to go there for lunch after having been to the museum, but it was closed until dinner time. Happy Travels!
