Good question--we're still working out how else we can thank those posters included. For now, it seemed that we should at the very least be thanking them on the site.
Other suggestions are welcome here or can be emailed to [email protected].

Well, I can't tell if you'd like stay in suspense. I think it's so cool that here you all are checking into this thread--glad your around. Here are your quotes below. Happy Friday!
mrwunrfl and emd: You both were quoted at the start of the "Where to Eat" Chapter.
mrwunrfl: "If you see a small place with a bunch of young guys chowing down, go there."
emd: "There was a vendor at the base of Tokyo Tower who had baked sweet potatoes in a wood-fried oven in his little roasting cart. Seeing this cart and little old man and fire embers late at night was magical."
lcuy: Your quote is at the start of the "Side Trips from Tokyo" chapter.
"I prefer Kamakura over Nikko. It's easier to get from Tokyo, and I like its small feel."
Mara: Your quote is at the start of the "Nightlife & the Arts" chapter:
"If you are a museum person, look into the Grutt Pass---it will save you a lot of you go to a number of museums."
Shanghainese your quote is at the start of the "Where to Stay" chapter in the Shanghai guide:
"If you don't want to spend too much time in taxis....book a hotel in the central area even if it costs a bit more."

mrwunrfl, I am ROFL laughing- that quote is so "you" and your fodors personality...
I do remember that little old man who had sweet potatoes roasting in the cart at the base of Tokyo Tower, and it WAS magical- being with my teen son after all that work to get to Tokyo and all that work finding Tokyo Tower (not as it easy as it sounds- and ALL those stairs in that subway station) and then seeing that little man and his cart...we thought we were getting corn on the cob and when we opened the foil, of all thing it was a sweet potatoe. Big surprise. One of those moments.
I like my quote, I am glad they picked that one. And Mara's is perfect for her too, she is a great budget traveler!
