Hua Hin
Very grateful for any feedback, packing for a long trip is not always easy
Thanks to you all

For Bangkok - cool nights with a low of around 23 - 25 C. Daytime bright sunshine max around 33 C. Humidity quite low at the moment but I feel that it's getting warmer today.
Hua Hin - pretty much the same as Bangkok but a little warmer at night.
Chiang Mai - cool nights with a low of around 12 - 14 C. Daytime max out at around 27 - 30 C.
The best time of year to be here!

Hong Kong is fabulous weather, temps forecast to be in the 18-23 C range during the day, a little cooler at night. Sunny, dry and very low humidity, averaging 70%. We get very little rainfall from how through about April. THE best time of year, pollution haze notwithstanding and that will be a matter of luck; some days are clear, some days views across the harbour are quite obscured. Nighttime views are still good however.
I believe Bangkok is going to have some heavy rain over the next few days, but may clear up by the time you arrive. There is a huge system dumping rain on Thailand and Malaysia and Singapore, I have been in Kuala Lumpur since Wed and he has been raining for the last 2 days, quite unusual for this side of the peninsula for December. You might try ccn.com or bbc.com for local weather forecasts for places on your itin.

Thank you all - Hong Kong seems to be as I expected, Thailand seems hotter than I expected - good to know this.
I will also check out the sites suggested for weather, now all I have to do is get my act together and write trip reports
