Wildlife Tour of India

Singapore is right on the equator - it will be very hot. Decide what you want to do/dee in Singapore. I love the Botanical Gardens, especially the orchid garden. The verious ethnic enclaves, Chinatown, little India, Arab Street are also interesting. You don't really need a guide. Virtually everyone in Singapore speaks English.
I have to chuckle about "authentic cultural experiences" as the most authentic cultural experience in Singapore is shopping in giant malls.
Singapore is the most modern, cleanest city in the world.
And shopping of course espIecially in malls is the last thing I would choose to spend vacation time on!
Markets of course are different!
I came across a site that advertises colonial history and Chinatown walks.
Thanks for the laughs!
A walking tour of the historic buildings in the city centre -- what's left of them -- can be pleasant, especially if the Raffles Hotel is on the route and includes a bartender demonstrating the secrets of making a Singapore Sling. A walking-riding visit to Changi Prison will illuminate the horrible suffering during the internments of the Second World War and is a must for Australians interested in their country's role during that war.
