Hi all,
Not sure how much difference it makes, but I'm debating of when to go to Vietnam (first trip there, so I'll be doing the usual tourist route, south to north). I'm planning to go for about 2 weeks.
Option 1) Last week of Feb to first week of March (still cold and foggy in the north?)
Option 2) Mid March to end of March (too hot in the south?)
I'm not available the week in between those 2 options.
Right now, I'm leaning toward Option2, as I'm thinking of just spending 2 days in HCM and start heading to the central area and north, so the hot weather won't be too bothersome.
Thanks for your advice!
Vietnam end of Feb or mid March?

trip report to tajmahal agra india

I really doubta that a few weeks will make any difference at all. The arrival of the various monsoons is becoming increasingly variable and difficult to predict. Travelling through most of the length of the country you will probably experience good and bad weather as you move south. Travelling around the north in march we experienced brilliant sunshine and 25c in Sapa one day and thick fog and the beginnings of a snowfall the next. When we were back in Hanoi a few days later we had great weather.
Hi JC98,
You are quite right with the heat in Saigon in Mar but as mentioned you will only spend 02 days there so it should be OK. Weather in Mar will be better in the North, make sure you add Halong bay overnight,Hoian & Sapa with the Sunday market in Bac Ha.
Let me know if you have any other quest'.
Enjoy your planning!
