VFS Visa Services - in Brisbane, Australia (for Indian visas!)

I feel sorry for Americans who appear to very poorly served by BLS.

Our story:

We went ourselves to the Brisbane VFS offfice to submit our tourist visa applications for checking, having completed the forms online, and printed them out as instructed on the (complicated and poorly designed) web-site.

No problems - the clerk indicated all was well, we paid (by credit card) and returned home having been told the approval process would take 7 to 10 days.

This morning (Thursday) our new Indian visas and old Australian passports were returned by Express mail, from the Indian High Commission in Canberra (Commonwealth countries have High Commissions in one another's capitals - Embassy - but not in name - rationale is long-winded and of no consequence really!)

Monday to Thursday. If they cleaned up their complicated web site it would be a real breeze! As it is - not too bad - in fact compared to the apparent mess of the BLS system in the USA - bloody marvellous!
