Trip Report Trip Vietnam-Cambodia

Jump to last reply

We finish a trip in Vietnam and Cambodia (18 days). 2 adults and 3 children.
Why Vietnam and Cambodia? It’s a long time we dream about this destination especially for food, sea and historical cities. Discover both countries will stay a wonderful memory for all our family. As “Travel broadens the mind”, it was a great experience for our children too.

The best of our trip:
-Accommodations have been perfect (Sheraton in Hanoi, Victory Junk in Halong bay, Anantara in Hoi An, Imperial in Hue, Majestic Saigon in HCMC, Angkor Miracle Hotel in Siem Reap, The Quay Hotel in Phnom Penh). Frankly, we were surprising for the service and the quality comparing to the rates, exceptional service. Don’t hesitate to ask to vietnamstay their tours quotation and especially hotels 5*. The counselor was very patient and called us during 2 times during our trip. Very nice.
-Guides were very open mind, professional and very kind with our children. I can surely recommend vietnamstay. They understand our needs and make us memorable memories.
The most funny of our trip: street life in Vietnam and Cambodia

We fall in love about it.
Parks are the most interesting place to meet Vietnamese people. We have met many students who want to speak English. To stay with them on the evening was a pleasure. Our children were very happy to practice English.
Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi has many parks. All of them bring fresh air where people enjoy making some activities. Inside, people are dancing, playing xiangqi and making tai chi. Some of them are lying in the grass and enjoy a nap, others are speaking during drinking tea and smoking cigarettes.
Phnom Penh is a wonderful city too. It smaller than Hanoi and Saigon but traffic is really worth. Cars and motorbikes never slow down. I think Tuk tuk drivers are nice but many of them are annoying.
In the evening, to walk along the river is perfect. Some young Cambodians played soccer, laughed and have a rest. The river brings fresh air. Our children were happy to play with them after a big day in the city.
The worth in Phnom Penh

We have read on our travel book guide that the Russian market is the best place but we were very disappointed. Inside, you will find some good street food. But for clothes, it’s not really interesting. Every shops sell same clothes, there are not very friendly. Our guide gave us an advice: in the last stair of the commercial mall, there are one (maybe more) cheaper for clothes. Pants, shirts and shoes. Good prices. Interesting.
A great adventure of my family

Thank you everbody and see you soon.
