We picked up a lot of great tips for our trip to India on the message boards and had a fantastic time! We only had 10 days (slightly abbreviated due to the ash cloud from Iceland's volcano), but traveled from Mumbai to Udaipur to Narlai and Jodhpur before ending the trip in Delhi. We had a fantastic time and have started an extensive travelogue; the first half (Mumbai through Narlai) is now posted on www.hitherandthither.net (the travelogue is linked in the column on the right). It's quite long, but whether you read or skim it, hope you enjoy! We plan to have the second half up soon.
Happy traveling!
PS--If you stop by on the site, say hello!

Wonderful text and PHOTOS!!! One of the lake, with building reflection, and with ladies at the water'sedge; one one of the turbaned waiter in the candlelight serving your dinner. Awesome!!!! thank you!!
Nice pics.

Thanks again!
LOVe part 2 as well!! thank you so much!!! Love the photos of shops and people!!!!
loving the report and pics
Great reporting and pictures. Loved it.
Lovely pics and travelogue.
Loved the way you travel....carefree and curious....willing to try anything. Eating anything that seemed interesting....from street vendors....that is the best way to travel. I remember how that is....it's best to do it while you are still young!!!
Great reporting.....you obviously enjoyed India.
Actually your enthusiasm shows and the people you interacted with could see that too. That, and obviuos curiosity, might explain why so many people wanted to have their pictures taken. Sometimes, that's the easiest and only way for strangers to show their appreciation of visiting travellers. Just a thought.
Bravo!! Congratulations on a successful trip and report.
Thank you so much! What kind things to say! We really did love it and it's hard to believe that we only ended up having 10 days of travel. I can't wait to go back. We're expecting a baby soon, so it might have to wait at least a year, but hopefully not TOO long. Thanks again!
