Travelling from Bangkok to Ko Samet in December
Hi there, we are planning a 5 day stop over in Thailand on our way back to London from Melbourne over New Years. I will be 5 months pregnant by then and I am a bit worried about travelling between Bangkok, where we will be staying one night, and Ko Samet.
What's the best way to get to Ko Samet from Bangkok? A private car transfer from Bangkok to Ko Samet is about Bath 3,000. I know the bus is cheaper (about Bath 120) but is it confortable? How long does the journey take?
Thanks!!
Imma

I would take the car for B 3,000, I doubt you would enjoy the bus route especially as you will be 5 months gone. If you are on a real tight budget you could considor the bus but you will find the car journey well worth the extra.

I agree with JamesA taking a car if you can afford.
From Bangkok, you have to go to Ban Phe Piers in Rayong Province(approx 2.30 hrs by car) and take a boat ride to Koh Samet (approx 30 min).
Have a good trip.
