Traveling With A Dog

This is my first time to travel with a dog and I'm a little nervous about the whole thing. I've taken him to the vet, contacted the airlines, and checked the requirements on importing a dog to Texas. My biggest problem at the moment is not being able to find a reasonably priced hotel in Manila that accepts pets.

Is there anything else I'm missing? Can anyone give me any helpful advice or share stories that I might find helpful? I want to be as prepared as possible. Thanks. :)
