Traveling solo to Thailand and looking for recommended tour company
I am thinking of traveling solo to Thailand and would prefer using a reputable tour company than going at it alone. I was thinking of using Virgin Atlantic tours but they seem to have mixed reviews online. I'm not looking for ultra luxury but neither am I looking for anything cheap - you usually get what you pay for.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thailand was, for me, a very easy introduction to travel in Asia years ago. I still sometimes detour there to relax after more arduous travels elsewhere. If you don't find a tour company that seems to suit you, I'd encourage you to give it a shot on your own. Travel there is about as easy as it gets, in my experience.

Top 10 places in Thailand are full of tourists. The country gets 25m a year. Very easy to meet people. Very easy to travel around.
Airports all over plus trains, buses and ferries.
A tour would suck. Lack of freedom and stuck with the same bunch of people.

As others have said, travel in Thailand is easy. Do your research on where you want to go, then make your plane reservations and hotel reservations. Once you get to your destinations, you can opt for a day tour if you would like, but really you can do things more cheaply on your own and you get to set your own itinerary. You can also hire a car and driver or a guide as you wish.
Once you have figured out what you want to do/see/experience in Thailand, we can help you with details.

I'm convinced!! I am going to do some research and try to plan an itinerary. I am really interested in the culture, such as the beautiful temples, and I enjoy buying art made by locals. I am also interested in seeing some elephants although I am fearful of giving money to a place that doesn't treat the animals well.
