travel to Lingyun and Leye in Guangxi?

Hello China experts! I need your advice. My husband and I will be in China for a return trip in late August. We have been to Asia a number of time, prefer independent travel, and like adding a little "off the beaten path" flavor to our trips whenever we can. I'm exploring whether I can add a visit to Lingyun and maybe Leye in Guangxi. I have 6 days to play with, including travel days. We would be departing from Xian on day 1 and ending up in Shanghai on day 6. Can I make this work? If not, any suggestions for an off the beaten path option with beautiful scenery that would work better between these 2 cities? (We've been to Guilin/Yangshuo). Thanks for any suggestions and guidance.
