Travel from Japan?

Jump to last reply

I live in Japan, and what to take a couple of short 3 or 4 day trips this summer to either the Russian Far East or Central Asia. It appears that there are direct flights from Narita to Ullan Bator, but seems there are few other options.

Since I just want to take advantage of a couple of 3 day weekends, I was hoping I could find some direct flights to some interesting or offbeat locations but not having much luck. I will likely be traveling by myself, and the accomodations definitely do not have to be luxurious.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
