Trip Report Travel Company in China

Jump to last reply

My mother and I just got back from an 8-day China excursion to Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai. We booked through China Odyssey Tours due to recommendations found on Fodors.

I have to say the this travel company was amazing. Their recommendations for hotels was precise, best locations, 4-5 star ratings, and English speaking hotel workers. Sinba, our travel consultant was constantly returning my emails answering any questions I may have had the past year.

The guides were all English speaking, this was a private tour with my own personal guide and personal driver who was at our beck and call now matter how long or short we took at any particular destination. The itinerary was packed, we saw it all. But if ever I wanted to adjust the itinerary for more shopping time etc... they were always willing to comply. Our guide in Xian even offered to stop and get us some massages on the way home from the Terricatta warriors at a respectable location for about $25 for 70 minutes (not in the itinerary). The company arranged our 2 China flights from city to city and the guides would check us in, get us our boarding passes, and walk us to security. At the next city the following guide was always waiting with a sign up with our names. The guides did everything for us whether it be ordering our food or help us haggle shop :)

Our experience with this company was excellent and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a travel company in China.
