Travel Agent in Singapore

Does anyone have a TA they have used in Singapore they could recommend. I am trying to sort a long weekend from SP to either Borneo or Lombok/Gili islands and due to some of the travel complications and not enough time on my part I thought I may get a TA to put together for me. K (my friend who lives there) may know someone but she hasn't been there long and I just thought I would ask on here just incase you have a good recommendation for me.
Thanks in advance

hey lombok shouldn't be difficult on your own at all. Both Silk Air and Jetstar fly directly from Singapore to Lombok and most hotels can pick-you up at the airport.

The two biggest agents in Indonesia are Smailings and Bayu Buana. I've used them both with mixed success. They're OK, but you have to watch them. You can find them both on line.

Your resort in Lombok may be able to make travel arrangements for you. At the least, they'll have the most updated info.

Getting from Denpasar airport to the ferry and reverse, will eat up a lot of time. You might be better off just transiting in Denpasar to another flight to Mataram. I'd suggest Garuda because they have the most flights.

Bob and Karen had trouble getting flights from Bali to Lombok, and Qunci Villas booked the flights for them, had the tickets waiting at the airport, and Bob and Karen paid for the tickets when they got to the hotel.

Any preference on the hotel or the pool villa hotel? ( although I'll be glad if they have any room in either property!)

We stayed at the hotel (it was all that existed back then) in a ocean view room. I see that is now $110... back then we paid $70! I'm not sure, but I think the pool villa hotel is across the road, so farther from the beach. I know the luxury villas are across the road. Our rate included breakfast and airport transfers.

Thanks Kathie, I have actually requested an ocean view room either place, hoping it's available and yes rate includes breakfast and transfers although there is a surcharge for high season! I'll let you know if we get a room and be asking for info on Lombok

the new villas are next door to the original hotel on the water side....across the road and up the hill are the two lux suites...

i think i like the hotel the best.... we stayed in #5... you do want to be as near to the water as you can, but honestly if you are back a bit it really will not matter... the food in their small restaurant is really good btw.. the pool is small but quite nice... the restaurant overlooks the pool...
the beach is not fab, but is ok... it is contoured rather than flat. most people used the pool and walked on the beach.

Ok as a back up the Sheraton has rooms! Anyone know what that is like? I would rather stay at a less corporate place but the couple of pics I have seen look quite nice, any views or suggestions ? I am currently waiting to hear from pas mas also.

I haven't been to either of these places but I understand they are similar to Qunci: Lombok Lodge, Jeeva Klui.

I've stayed at the Oberoi a few times and always liked it. May be a little pricy.

The one time I was at the Sheraton was years ago. Nice beach, but very commercial property. Popular with families.

Thanks Marmot Jeeva Klui is full but Puri Mas (which looks nice) has rooms and just waiting to hear from Hotel Tug but will check out Lombok lodge too.
Still trying to figure out transfer flight from DPS to AMI how long do you think I should allow as assume I will need to clear customs in Bali then recheck in for domestic flight to Lombok? I am guessing that on the way back should't take so long??? As we only plan to go for 3 nights I don't want to spend most of a day travelling/ waiting to transfer.
Thanks for your help ( oh and yes Oberoi looks great but my friend has got me on a drated budget!!)

I've never transferred from the international to domestic terminals in Denpasar, so I'm not sure how the luggage and visa process works. Hopefully you'll find someone who's actually done it.
