Me and my wife will visit Burma the last week of December and first week of January. Can anyone recommend a reliable travel agency to help with reservations of flights and hotels?

Are you thinking of going this year? Good luck getting reservations, as many places have already been sold out for many months.
Nonetheless, do contact Santa Maria, the company I used for my two trips. They are excellent. If they can't get you reservations, you may want to start planning for next year.

Thanks Kathie. I really hope we can get reservations as we've already booked flights. We managed to get reservations at Ngapali over New Year, so I hope we can get flights and then hotels at Inle and Bagan.

We (wife and I) just finished planning our second visit to Burma in the past three years. We used Santa Maria the first time and Zaw was excellent. This time we contacted three agencies namely, Santa Maria, Myanmar Shalom and Tour Mandalay. All three of these travel agencies receive high marks by anyone that has used them on either this forum, Lonely Planet or TA forums. We finally chose Myanmar Shalom (Sammy) for various reasons but I think any of the above three would have done a good job.
Our trip is scheduled for Feb. 2013.
