Tran Siberia Train Moscow to Beijing

Jump to last reply

We are planning on taking the train from Moscow to Beijing in August 2016. I have read that it can be very hot in Mongolia; is the Russia train #4 air conditioned and how well does the AC work?

It seems that one of the issues on the train is the food. How did you deal with that, and if you took freeze dried food with you what brand would you recommend?

We will be in a 2 person compartment (which I believe is their version of FC). The website says those cabins have a shared bathroom with shower. How effective and clean is the shared bathroom?

I plan to use a porter to take my luggage to the train; does the train have a place to store luggage during the trip or is it kept in the cabin?

Any suggestions and advice is very much appreciated.
