I have not gone with either but I know someone who went with Far Fung and raved about them.
I used Wind House Tours for a trip with my friends in October. I was pretty happy with them.
You can check out the website I put together: www.employees.org/~rschultz/Bhutan
Our guide was Oser, and he was great. We spent 5 days trekking and the rest of the time in the cities. The trek was amazing, but the cities were not as interesting as I thought they would be. If you're not going to trek I would say try and get as far away from Thimphu as possible (Bumthang perhaps) to see something unique.
Let me know if you need more info.
We are also considering a trip to Bhutan. We have looked at Snow Lion Expeditions and Wilderness Travel. Does anyone have information on either of those companies? Many thanks for your help.
