TOKYO tour guide

Can anyone recommend a reasonably-priced (I have no idea what this entails in Japan) tour guide who would be able to show a few people around Tokyo for a day? I am looking for someone who (obviously) speaks English and can show 4-5 people around to some main sites, how to navigate the subway, etc. I'm going on a ski trip to Japan and at the end we have a few days in Tokyo. Haven't been able to do much research yet but thinking this may be the best way to use one of our days. Thank you!

Check out Tokyo free guides, it's run by volunteers. I used them and had a lovely lady take us round Tokyo. It's free, I took her some gifts from my home country!

The Japanese National Tourism Organization also coordinates free "goodwill" volunteer guides:
www.jnto.go.jp/eng/arrange/trav…
You pay any entrance fees and his/her meal if your time with the guide includes one.

As Sneagol notes, a small gift from your home country is generally appreciated -- just be sure to make it very clear that it is a LITTLE thing and be mindful of Japanese norms for gift-giving.

Enjoy!

@ Smeagol -- I misspelled your name the first time, using an N, not an M.

I contacted the Free Tour Guide and already have heard from a lovely woman who can give us a tour. Thanks again!

I will! We leave on the 12th of February and are skiing for a week first before going to Tokyo. Thanks again for the suggestions.
