Tokyo in Winter

I just booked a Christmas side trip to Tokyo, arriving at Narita at 1PM on Day 1, leaving at 6PM on Day 4, staying at Ueno at night. My only previous trip to Japan was about 25 years ago for a week in Okinawa, and I am planning another Japan trip also flying into Tokyo within the next year, but probably in late spring or autumn for about 2 weeks, not winter again.
I am wondering if there are sites in or around Tokyo worth seeing that is particularly beautiful to see in the winter? At first I thought about going to see Mt. Fuji/Hakone, but was told by friends who were in Tokyo 15+ years ago that autumn is actually the best time to see Mt. Fuji.
