Thinking about doing Asia & Thailand For a Honeymoon...

I'm getting married next year in November and I've been trying to figure out where to go for our honeymoon. We were initially considering Italy because of the big wine regions, but thought it was going to be a little too cold around that time of the year. Then we went on to Hawaii.. which is still in the mix. We tried to get over to Asia this year which didn't work out, so we threw it out there as a honeymoon idea. Here's some basics:

- We are getting married in mid November
- Should have about 10 days
- We both enjoy good food, wine
- Want a mix of a few days of sight seeing, and then end it with 5-7 days of relaxation in a fun beachy area (In to HKG for a day or two, another 1 or 2 places, then Phuket?)
- We both have a lot of CO and AA miles and since we are around 300 or so days out, there is still decent availability in first on most routes - but I feel like we should act fast
- We live in NJ and our home airport is EWR, but JFK and LGA are fine too to fly Cathay over.

What are everyone's thoughts?
