Things you should bring and not bring before Ha Long trip, Vietnam

For travelers who wish to spend one or two night on cruises, it is important to know what should bring and not bring prior for a perfect Ha Long trip. Through this post, I will give you list of essential items and I hope that you will best enjoy the beauty of Ha Long bay without having to worry about missing items.
You should bring:
1. Photo equipment
With its marvellous beauty of over 2000 limestone islets and several mystical caves and grottos, Halong Bay is one of the most extraordinary natural sites on earth. The captivating seascapes do not stay the same, they change just after a few minutes. Thus, when cruising around this two time World Heritage Site, you will be using your camera quite a lot. That also means you should bring your camera charger, an adequate amount of space on memory card and your preferred lens for taking wide and landscape photos. Lots of postcards have the landscape of Ha Long bay so by taking your own pictures, you will have a collection of amazing moments in Ha Long bay.
2. Luggage and bag
A small backpack with simple clothes, swimwear, shorts, sunglasses, sandals is quite fit for an overnight stay on boat for you. Perhaps just for cold season from last October to March next year, you have to bring warm clothes to keep normal temprature for you. Finally, don’t forget your passport when get on board because it’s your identification in Vietnam.
3. Miscellanous
In order to protect your skin from sunshine in summer days, the most necessary thing that you should have is sunblock. A wide-brimmed hat also is needed when you play on the beach. It may be hot and humid out at sea so it’s better if you bring mosquito repellent. Of course you can always join in the delicous meals in cruise, however don’t forget to bring some bottle of water with you which will help a lot by preventing dehydration and tiredness while cruising. You can also take some snacks with you in case of feeling hungry at night or between meals. For travelers who are sensitive with weather or food, a small box of medicines will be very helpful. Finally, remember to bring your collection of chargers because I’m sure that not many tech gadgets can survive more than one day without having to be recharged.
4. Money
Athough the cruise fare includes mostly everything, you still need to bring some extra money with you for personal expenditures on boat like drinks at bar or personal services. One concern question is cash or credit card? In my opinion, you should bring both but withdrawing more cash with you because only in some high quality cruises, credit card payment is accepted. Cash should be in VND or US dollar and accepted in all cruises.
You should not bring on board the vessel of any intoxicating liquors, or beverages, firearms, weapons of any kind, ammunition, explosive substances or any goods of a dangerous nature, nor animals of any kind. Overall, I hope that you should prepare carefully before your Ha Long trip. Wish you have wonderful experiences in Ha Long bay.
