The Korean challenge - Not as easy as expected

Well, looks like a real challenge this time. I'm in Busan, South Korea trying to do some sightseeing in Korea. Didn't do any preparations before. This type of travelling was so easy in Japan and China, here it's totally different. Like you need to prepare eyery day in advance. So to which town would I go today? Where do I look for a room? On the internet you always need to pre-book a few days in advance. Since NOONE seems to understand English, it won't get any better in rural areas, right?. Are there even rooms available in those "remote" places like Geoje or Yeosu or Gwangyang?

Any brilliant ideas? :-)
