I have been writing in my blog about how Delhi wears a different look in every season. My posts are not so much about facts and figures, but more about the look and feel of the city in a particular month. I have spent long years in Delhi and these posts may be of interest to you if you are planning a visit to the Indian capital any time in the future. I have written from July to December in these posts. You will find more as I update my blog in the coming months. Take your pick from what has been posted so far:

@qwovadis: Thanks for the appreciation.
Hi Lata, thank you so much. I will treat myself to reading all your posts over this holiday weekend, but so far, the ones i've seen are well written, informative, enjoyable.
Hi Lata, enjoy your posts. Do you live in India?
@CaliNurse: Thank you so much. I am glad you enjoyed my posts, and gladder that you took the time to write to me. It feels very nice to get a positive feedback. Thanks again!
@Jaya: Thanks for the appreciation. Yes, I live in India.
Read about Delhi in January in my latest post:
http://thisislata.blogspot.com/2012/01/delhi-in-january-rajpath-beckons.html
Wonderful blog Lata. Thanks for posting. The 1st blog reminds me of how hard air travel into Delhi can be during Dec. as many flights have to be diverted due to the fog.
@jacketwatch: Thank you for the appreciation!
Here is my latest post in this series. About Delhi in February:

Well thanks again. Thats afew things i did not kow about India during this month. Its always nice to hear about day to day life there or anywhere. I especially was impressed inre to the exams as I do know how inportant they are but did not know about their time frame.
Yep its getting warm too. I have relatives in Delhi so I check the temps ther almost daily.
Cheers, Larry
@jacketwatch: Thanks for writing. It feels nice to know that there are people out there who read my posts. And it feels great when people like you take the time to send their feedback. Well, keep reading and responding. Thanks again!
And keep posting pics!! It is nice when ones work is recognized. Sometime people post a question or a concern and get some good feedback but then you never hear from them again. Sigh. Cheers, Larry
I love your blog Lata. Thank you for taking the time to write about the sesons and how they influence the lives of the people in New Delhi. Your descriptive stlyle made me feel each one of them
Your pictures are beautiful!!
@jacketwatch: Yes, I understand what you are saying!
@nalijo: Thank you. Delhi is dear to me and I relive the time spent there when I write about the city. It makes me really happy to know that you liked my posts. Next one coming up in April!
I will be looking forward to it.
I love India!!!
I'll stay tuned.
Here is the latest post in the series about Delhi; Delhi in April:

Nice and prosy work Lata.
Got any tips for staying cool in May? One of ourmedical residents who is Indian by birth but was adopted and raised here seems to have this desire to return to her roots and has decided, against my advice, to visit next month. This is her first trip there besides being born there of course. I tried to tell her that this was not a good mo. to visit but I think she is very curious about her heritage so she just seems to need to go. She is arriving with a friend who also has never been there and they want to do the Golden triangle. I hope its not going to be too hot for them. I mean they are just not used to that heat. What do you think? I know drinking a lot of bottled h2O is necessary but also I suppose things like wearing a cap that has vents, light colored, cotton clothes, eating light foods and so on would be good too. Any other ideas? Cheers, Larry
@jacketwatch: Well, I must say that the people you mention are very courageous to tour the Golden Triangle in the month of May. Yes, it is going to be hot and dry. All the "to do" things that you have written, are very sensible and it will be a good idea to follow all of them. It is best to stay indoors during the hot afternoon hours. Avoid spicy, oily foods. Wear well-fitting, open sandals instead of shoes. Wearing sunglasses and some good sunscreen lotion will help too. Wishing a pleasant stay to your friends in India!
Good advice. I hope they will be OK but honestly I think she is really underestimating how hot and uncomfortable it will be. Early in our marriage I thought about going to Delhi in May as this was the time I could get off. My wife and some of our Indian friends knew this was a really bad idea and I was convinced to wait till the fall/winter. We'll see how they do. Cheers and looking f/w to the next installment. Larry
@jacketwatch: Yes, it is very hot in May and someone who has not experienced it, is likely to underestimate it. Hope they take enough care and stay well during their entire trip.

Thanks for reading my blog and responding. Now two more installments in May and June, and that will complete the year! Stay tuned
I will stay tuned!!
Hi, here is my latest post in the Delhi series. Hope you like it!
thisislata.blogspot.com/2012/05/delhi-in-may-summery-treats.html
Cool pics again Lata and you seem to have a nice way with words to describe everything. I showed this to my wife, who is from Raj. BTW and she sure did like the pics, esp. the mangoes.
. We do get mangoes here but those are typically from Mexico. We also get winter mangoes from South America and we have found that the ones from Ecuador are the best vs. the ones from Brazil which tend to be fibrous and not very sweet.

Indian mangoes became available here (Chicago area) a few yrs. ago but they are 4X the cost so we have never tried them. Maybe now we will.
Please keep the blogs coming. I hope you are staying cool as it must be pretty warm there now. I have many in-laws in Delhi and I check the temps there almost daily. I saw it was around 106 the other day. Sending cool thoughts. Larry
Excellent blog,Lata.
Nice pics and very descriptive writing.
Hotter weather yet to come, and then humid and hot. Try and stay cool.
@jacketwatch: So happy to hear from you. You are one of the most regular readers of my blog on this forum and I appreciate that. Well, I do hope you get to taste some good mangoes this summer
Thanks for your cool thoughts. I lived in Delhi for about 22 years but moved to the Southern part of India about six years ago. So now these blog posts are a way of revisiting Delhi for me!
@magical: Thank you for your kind words and your wishes for staying cool. But this is summertime and most of India is hot, so can't really escape the heat! But thanks for your thought anyway
Beautiful pictures. We can get a few varieties of delicious mangoes in the US at certain times of the summer - the kind that are very sweet and smooth without the fibrous threads.
I'm afraid to visit India in the summer, especially because of the long power cuts. It doesn't matter if the house has A/C, if there's no power there's no A/C. I'm too accustomed to a cooler climate.
Anyhow, your Delhi blog is lovely. Delhi and UP are my family's home base.
@Jaya: Thanks for the appreciation. Do drop in a line whenever you have something to say about my blog.
Well we usually get some good mangoes though now they are just so so. Later in the summer they get better. I do enjoy your blog as it sort of keeps me in touch. I was watching a golf tournament once in Delhi on the golf channel and I just had to call them so your blog sort of keeps me connected. Keep it coming!
