Thailand trip with 3 kids (ages 9, 5, and 2.5)-- Hillside tribe trek?

Jump to last reply

We are going to Thailand in March with our three kids. Two of our kids have been there before and LOVED it. My husband and I have been 5 times as well...and obviously love it enough to go back for a sixth time :)

We will be in Phuket for 1 week for sure...but we are looking at other locations both in and out of Thailand that would be fun as a family.

Background: we are a very adventurous family and our kids are really easy going and comfortable with travel. All are water safe and eat anything.

We have done Chiang Rai and the elephant camp at the Anantara Golden Triangle. However, only the 9 year old has done it from the kids and we'd love to take the other two to experience it.

With that said...we are looking into the hillside tribe trek to the villages. I have done the touristy version of this and would like a more authentic version. I have read about Sgt. Kai...but can't get a feel if it would work for our kids.

any suggestions?

Any other suggestions of places to go/see in addition to our time in Phuket, Chiang Rai and brief time in Bangkok?

Thanks!
Tracyt
