Hi,
I've booked a trip to Thailand for 8 full days there and with hotel accomodations in Bangkok. (I found that the flight/package deal was far cheaper than by booking hotel separately).
I was thinking of taking day trips to Ayuthaya, Lopburi and Sukhothai from Bangkok. I understand that Sukhothai is much farther away and will require possibly travel by plane than a long bus ride.
My concerns are:
Is booking airfare in Bangkok easy enough? Where would I go to book these tickets? or is it easier booking them from the U.S through www.bangkokair.com?
Are most of the sights in Ayuthaya, Lopburi and Sukhothai accessible by foot from sight to sight?
Can the sights in each place be visited in one day trip to each location?
Greatly appreciate any advice that you can give me.
Thailand in 8 days

booking air fares is easy in bkk...almost all hotels have bookings (TA) desks, and TA's are all over town, BUT personally i would book from home in order not to waste time... try air asia..
Hi,
Best way to have the actual ayuthaya exp is to drive down. they take u by car and bring you back by the long tail boat...quite an experience.
Similarly day trips are available for Lopburi and Sukhothai as well. Let me know or email me for more info since I live in bangkok.
Best regards,
Anna
its a long way... i would find a long tail boat all the way simply horid
