Thailand Honeymoon
Hello all,
My fiancé and I are getting married March of next year and are currently looking into honeymoons in Thailand. We would like to visit at least 2 cities while we are there, preferably either Phuket or Koh Samui for some r&r and then Bankok for the culture etc. We are planning for a total of 10-12 nights for 2 cities at the end of March 2013 and we would like a private villa for the 1st part in either Phuket or Samui. Our budget is pretty flexible so 5 star accommodation are within reason as well. Any suggestions regarding hotels, travel etc are most welcome.
Thanks in advance for all your suggestions!
Sid

Two cities or two locations? If you are thinking two locations for your 12 days, that is perfect.
In Bangkok, I'd recommend you stay on the river. The two most honeymoon-worthy hotels are the Oriental and the Pen.
For a beach location, Phuket and the surrounding area will have good weather. In addition to Phuket, look at Krabi and Koh Lanta and Koh PhiPhi, all in the same area. Choose one of these beaches, and settle in and relax and enjoy. When I get home, I'll find you the web link to a list of the most romantica hotels in Phuket, all worthy of your consideration.

Thank you so much Kathie for the info. Yeah I meant 2 locations sorry: either Phuket or Samui for the first 6 days and Bankok for the next 6 days. What's the best way to get from Phuket to Bankok? TIA

Firstly congrats! Since you have a flexible budget, for Bangkok it wouldn't hurt to have a look at the Shangri La if you prefer a riverside hotel. An amazing place to relax. If you prefer to be more inside the city, the Four Seasons Bangkok is again quite good.

End of March weather on Koh Samui would be about the same as Phuket, Samui has lots more places to stay that are right on the beach at reasonable prices, also very nice tropical style so ideal for honeymoon. You can also visit Koh Tao from Koh Samui wbich is a beautiful island with great honeymoon accommodations.
