Thailand beach/island suggestions?

Jump to last reply

My partner and I are traveling to SE Asia Aug 6-21 and we'd like to spend a few days at the end kayaking and seeing some beautiful thai beaches/islands. There seems to be a lot of choices, but have heard some are overly touristy. Do you have any suggestions for a place that is less touristy but still has kayaking, pretty places to snorkel, those Rocky cliffs that poke out of the water, nice beaches and affordable places to stay? (Also know that we're also going to Laos and Myanmar so if you can think of a coast place that's better in one of those places ... Cool.)
Thanks
