Thailand 1st time - June travel

Jump to last reply

I'm planning a trip to Thailand with my 18-year old niece. I've traveled in other parts of Asia, but this is my first time to Thailand. I've read what a lot of others have posted, but not all of my questions have been answered yet... so thanks in advance for any tips!

My niece and I are both the adventurous / explorer types.

Although we do want to see some beautiful beaches, we will most likely want to remain active (snorkel, take a boat ride, etc). I know we will want to spend a few days in Bangkok, but I'm not sure where else to go.

Things we like to do:
- Waterfalls
- Ziplines
- Snorkeling
- Local markets, etc
- Rafting / boat tours, etc
- Explore some city sites, but mostly we prefer getting away from the bright lights (while still being around other people)

Our trip will be around 10 days. I know weather plays a role. Late June is likely the timeframe.

Thanks for any thoughts/suggestions.
