We highly recommend Jermsak as a guide in Chiang Rai. He also does some work in Chiang Mai. I had read about him on TA and he was personally recommended to me by moreweird. We were very fortunate to be able to get his services at the last minute. We made suggestions as to where we wanted to go and he developed an itn based on that the morning of the tour. we contacted him via email [email protected] on Thursday pm and he responded that evening. He was only available for one of the days we would be in town and we grabbed him. He speaks excellent English and is very knowledgeable as well as professional. He was a delight to spend the day with. He charges 2000 bht per day plus gasoline. U pay for any admissions.

I tried to hire jermsak at the last moment when I was in chaing Mai but he was unavailable. he was kind enough to recommend Tony who had once been his driver, but who has gone out on his own as a guide. If jermsak is unavailable, ask him if Tony is still around and available. Like jermsak, tony's English was impeccable and the day with him was delightful.
