Has anyone stayed here? What is the difference between staying in the annex and in the main building (besides about $100 per night).

Wildlife Tour of India

The small annex building is in the back of the main building and you have to walk over a bridge to get to it. Dinners and breakfasts are served in one of the main buildings and the indoor baths are in one of the main buildings with the rotenburo's on the other side of the main buildings making the annex the furthest from everything. See here for pictures and the ryokan's explanation of their buildings.

Aloha!
Thanks HT! So it is cheaper because it is considered less convenient? There are three main options - main building, meals in room, main building meals in restuarant, annex, meals in restauarant. The annex rooms are considerably cheaper. Did you dine in room or in the restaurant? How was it?

That was our feeling when we saw where the annex was located.
We dined in our room for dinner and the restaurant for breakfasts. We were in the newer east wing. I explain the foods and our experience at Osenkaku here on this thread. Scroll down to April 28-29 on the May 08 entry.
