Tabin reserve

Jump to last reply

Given that the packages to Tabin are a bit pricey, would it be an option to base oneself in Lahad Datu and do daytrips to Tabin?

I heard it takes one hour to drive from Lahad Datu to Tabin - can anybody confirm this?
Is the road paved or a mud track (i.e. 4WD necessary)?
Can you just drive in or is a permit necessary?
