sukhumvit area recomendations

Hi, my wife and I will be returning to Bangkok for one last Saturday night out in Bangkok before flying back to the Uk. We are staying in Sukhumvit soi 2 and would ideally like to be able to walk and not rely on taxis/public transport (though we don't mind walking a fair distance). We are in our 20s and are looking to hear some live music, not pay extortionate beer prices and maybe something weird and wonderful thrown in.

Last time we were in Bangkok we stayed in the Banglamphu area and although the Khao San Road scene wasn't really our cup of tea, we did enjoy the abundance of cheap and varied street food. Are we likely to find much of this Within walking distance of Sukhumvit Soi 2?

Any recommendations anyone can give us for a night out around this area would be much appreciated!
