I have 15 days in the Philippines (17 with travel in and out of Manila) & I was wondering if anyone could give me suggestions on what route to take. I am traveling in a group of 3 from March 28 - April 15 and would like to see Boracay & El Nido &. Could someone please propose a quick itinerary, number of nights in each place, and routes? Thanks for all the help.

Hi there, im from manila and it will be the peak summer season when you get here. Perfect for the beach, but will be quite busy in terms of getting flights and hotels. There are several local airlines serving manila boracay(caticlan) route. Check cebu pacific, philippine airlines, air philippines, seair, zest air websites to get flight schedules. From caticlan airport, you will need to ride a ferry to get to boracay island. This ferry is about 15 minutes travel time, but you may need to wait for the banca(outrigger boat) to fill up. Tickets can be bought from the port. From boracay, you will have to fly back to manila and then take seair (as far as i know, the only airline to serve this route) to el nido, which is the tip of the island called palawan. Boracay is more of a party type of beach along the lines of phuket, while el nido is more laid back. So from that you can decide how many days you want to stay. The minimum i would stay is 3 nights each. I dont think you should stay too long in manila because there is not much to do apart from shopping.
Sorry I might have been to hasty in saying there's not much to do in manila. There are several places worth going to. Intramuros, Chinatown, rizal park, ayala museum, and Greenhills shopping center. Several day trip options as well like tagaytay. You could spend a few days in manila to work out the jet lag then fly out to boracay and then back to manila to fly to el nido. Or fly in to manila from where you are, then fly directly out to boracay, then back to manila, spend a few days there, then go to el nido then back to manila. You could look into flying in to cebu as they do have an international airport there.
Sorry for the multiple posts. Check if the local airlines fly direct from caticlan (boracay) to elnido. You will save a day if they do.
