Suggestions for first trip to Asia?

Jump to last reply

My boyfriend and I have gotten the travel bug again and we are starting to save for our next vacation. I picked the last location (Italy) and he would like to pick the next. We still have a lot of research to do as we are in the very beginning stages of planning.

He likes big cities and different culture. I like ancient ruins, old temples/churches, beautiful landscapes, interesting history and nice mild weather. Neither of us want to drive in another country so great public transportation is a must.

We are pretty flexible for time of year and wouldn't be able to save enough until after October. So sometime between this fall (2013) and next summer (2014).

Any suggestions on where to start researching is appreciated!
