staying at Ho Chi Minh airport vs in the city

We are a family of five. We arrive in Ho Chi Minh at 10:30 pm and leave at noon the next day.
Is there a great, high quality airport hotel, or do you recommend we go into the city.
Thank you for your help Yarrl

Go into the city. It is not far, maybe 20-30 mins in a taxi.

Only use Vinasun or Mai Linh taxis in Saigon.
A taxi from the airport to the city centre [District 1] will cost less than 200 dong on the meter.

There are plenty of superb hotels located in district 1,3,10 and Phu Nhuan in Ho Chi Minh city.
While you take place at the Airport, you can apply for a taxi service. I suggest using VinaSun taxi brand but vigilantly put your eyes in caution ( stare at the money-calculating clock of the taxi ) because as a foreign travelers, you guys may get scammed by the immoral taxi driver.
Depend on your budget, you could choose to stay in the high -quality hotels or in mediocrity. The service may not be too bad for you but always stay watchful in case you may lose your items to the snatcher or bad people.
Some hotels you may put in your consideration:
Villa Song Saigon
Park Hyatt
The Reverie
Pullman Saigon Centre
The Caravelle hotel
Hope you have a nice trip
