We are still trying to get the definitive answer to the weather situation in Sri Lanka for August. I understand this is monsoon in the south and west but will this mean the resort areas will be too wet and windy for swimming etc.
We'd like to travel to the east but are unsure about the safety and availability of accommodation.
Are there any independent travellers out there who can advise. Any help would be much appreciated.(We are a couple, late 40s from the UK - and can advise on England in return!)
