Sri Lanka - help

Jump to last reply

ok my pplan is to leave an indian city on the 27th and arrive in colombo on the 27th - it's a 2 hr flight.

where should i go? i have until the 2nd.

27th - colombo. should i head to DAmbulla for golden temple right away by car?
28th - dambulla - Polonnaruwa to sigiriya?
29th - climb lionrock? onward to kandy? what's in kandy?
30th - skip nuwara eliya and head to Unawatuna beach
31st - beach
1st - drive to colombo
2nd - fly out.

what am i missing- what's worth it/not worth it? i can't extend my days - we're a group of 6 flying in from the U.S. to India - and then we have the 27th-2nd to either hang out in Sri Lanka or the Andaman exploring Sri Lanka seems too cramped.

am looking for a pretty beach to spend nye in...warm calm waters to swim in...

thanks for any help.
