Spirits in BKK- PART II

sorry about the typos and spelling errors in the other post, couldn't get edit to work. also, my text was cut short. i guess you can post only so many words. so, heres the last part.

we were escorted to a table covered with red rose petals in a small room that had five other tables. our table was the only one adorned with the rose petals. what sweet fragrance. by this time, i was ready for a double grey goose over, but i feared my thai was not that good, so i opted for a carafe of wine.

i asked jarun if madame hoally was present. he said she will be arriving shortly, and i asked if we could meet her. jarun said she will come to visit with us. about five minutes later, jarun brought in an attactive sprightly woman of 87 to meet us. after exchanging niceties, dw asked madame how she knew we were coming. without saying a word, madame closed her eyes, slowly raised two fingers of each hand, and pressed them gently on her temples. no words needed to be spoken. with that, madame said to enjoy dinner, and bid us adieu.

when we were settling the bill, i asked jarun how did madame hoally know we were coming for dinner. he replied, and i paraphrase, "madame can see verrry far, i cannot, i do not know why, i only accept". with that, we slipped quitely into the steamy bangkok night.

orgy7; where have you been hiding? haven't seen you around for awhile. we gotta go to l and k next time.

the story is true. it was just a great experience at le dalat indochine. looking forward to going there again next year.

i'm not sure if fodors will allow you to post our encounter at gullivers. it may not be suitable for the general population.

bob; i was in bkk for only four days, so don't have too much to report. others, such as yourself, provided much more detail reports than i could. all excellent and informative.

one thing though, i don't think i saw it on threads on bkk as to what time the shopping centers open. since i am an early riser, i am usually finished with breakfast by 730am and ready to roll, but i found out the hard way that most of the sc open at 11.

other than taking a tour, and since i am not a lay around the pool kind of guy, what can one do from 730am to 11? i don't think even the massage studios are opened that early.

I just put my microsoft WORKS word procesor threw a hell of a spelling a grammer check hope it worked.

On October 12 I made sure I wore the highly distinguishable 99 baht red T-shirt I posted about and put my BOSE headphones around my neck. This may be an easy task but as Madame Hoally has the power of insight and total recall I have the opposite… Off too school I went whistling “the wheels of the BTS go round and round”. Class went well; I’m such an ace student. Before class ended my teacher asked me “khun ja pay nay” I answered huh, she replied “you come too school 7 months and can not answer question. Where you go after school? Thankfully I understood broken Thai English and I said I’m meeting up with a farang whom I met on the internet… she then warned me too be careful farangs are not nice. I guess she knows I’m a kind hearted impressionable young farang man…

Strange encounter

At about 3 PM I walked a couple of blocks over too Sukhunvit soi 5 and sat at the outdoor section of Gulliver’s bar. I ordered a spot of tea and biscuits and started scribbling Thai script for homework. I expected Kuranosuke too be a skinny Indian IT consultant from Singapore so I looked up a couple of times too see if I could find an Indian fellow. And I saw plenty walk by I forgot I was in the Indian/middle eastern enclave of Bangkok. Searching was a lost cause so I put my attention towards my homework, as I was writing some half circle and wavy line a man cam over too the patio table I was sitting at. I looked up and thought “OH my God my Uncle Berne has come down too take me back home, I know my mother is not happy I left Connecticut but sending her brother over is crazy”
(Too protect Mr. Kuranosuke identity I will vaguely described him as looking like a Mexican mariachi band member without the curly mustache) Kuranosuke instantly recognized me I guess my hip hop Olive oil with an Adams apple costume worked. We both chose too go inside. I personally was dripping sweet from the heat..

Gulliver’s is an American style sports bar and grill. We sat and exchanged pleasantries I am a student in formal conversation. While we talked I expected too hear the question “So where are the shows.” I am used too talking too guys who come off as if they are Priests and after some beers they are like; “I need 3 ladies for tonight.” I was kind of relieved when kuranosuke mentioned he came with his wife. I so did not want too go see a “lady” in Pot pong place things where they don’t belong. I am an impresionable young Catholic man, you know.

After drinking some beers, NO, no, I meant green tea. I noticed that there was a car hanging from the ceiling and that the place was full of ladies of the night I showed kuranosuke my finding and he too was shocked. “how did they get that car up there” We continued our philosophical conversation and out of no where he pulled out a gift for me. It was something like Hawaiian tropics macadamia nuts; they ended up being so darn good maybe the tanning lotion gave it that delicate coconut taste.

At about 5pm the tea was starting too hit me I don’t drink much so I kind of forget what went on during the latter part of the encounter but I do remember us saying good bye and planning too maybe meet up again next year. After the meeting I did not go too Nana plaza spend $30 on beer and coke and see girls dance lazily in bikinis. Nope not me I went straight home and prayed for kuranosuke’s safe journey…

orgy7; lmao, rotf.

by the way, one of my favorite songs is malaguena salerosa, and me and poncho play it all the time at guadalupe's cantina.

i am glad you used the sanitized version of our fun encounter. we will do it again next year, and maybe even a visit with madame hoally.
