Currently living in Singapore and toying with some Asian ski spots for December/February. Was told that South Korea is cheaper than Japan and quite fun too. Any ideas? For rank beginners.

I've ski in a place near Seoul and found the slope there quite short and very different - loud disco music from top to bottom! Hokkaido is probably the best destination in Asia but, as you have said, it's expensive.
