Our family is considering a skiing trip to Korea for our Christmas break. We just moved to Beijing, so will be flying from there. Any suggestions about where to go? I have an 8 year old son who will need to take beginner lessons, a 14 year old who will take a refresher course. We are intermediate skiers and would like to find a lodge/resort. We would also like to have slopes with limited lines (too much to ask?).
Thanks in advance.

I have skied near Seoul and it was a relatively long car ride away from the centre of the city, over 1 hour. The slopes were not that impressive with very short runs and only with moderate intermediate difficulties. The thing that I remembered the most was the very loud disco music being played from the top to the bottom of the mountain. My daughter, this was over 10 years ago, did take a beginner's lesson there with an English speaking Korean instructor.
