You can buy tickets on line, including for the night safari, so I am confused as to why you are e-mailing them. See the “Opening Hours and Rates” section of the http://www.zoo.com.sg/
website.
For booking just the night safari, you can also go to http://www.nightsafari.com.sg/ and book there.
To book guided tours you can call them at 65- 6269-3411. You may be able to book the night safari via that number as well.
Otherwise, you can just buy a ticket when you get to the zoo. Unless you are going on a Sunday or public holiday, I don’t think they ever are sold out of regular admission tickets (and even on a Sunday and public holiday, I would be surprised if that is the case). They may sell out night safari tickets, but as you can buy those on-line, I don’t see the issue.
Or ask your hotel to try to make a booking
I had a look on the Singapore Zoo site and it does not have a booking section for the Breakfast with the Orangutans, just a phone number and email. I presume this is what Sally is trying to book.
You may be able to get your hotel to book it but from memmory, we just arrived about 45 minutes before opening time and booked at the gate. Try the phone number, if you haven't already, but I wouldn't worry too much. The breakfast was nice but at $25s++ I wouldn't rate it as a must do. The area where they have it is an open terrace that you can view from outside if you just want to see the show.
Whatever you do, dont miss the Polar Bear feeding time as it is really something special. They actually throw live fish in and watching these massive animals chase them with ease and grace is mind blowing. Even if you do have the breakfast, leave there before 10 to get a good seat for the 10.05 bear session. This two venues are right next to each other so access will be easy.
Thanks for your help, have just now got a reply from them.
We've found in the past, that no one is busy until the day we want to do something, and then everyone in the world decides to do it, lol
Will check out the polar bears for sure.
