Hello All,
I am going to be heading to Singapore for a few days in June (from Bangkok) for a conference. I think I have it down to staying in either a premier room at the Plaza or a Harbour View room in the newly refurbished Oriental. Any thoughts on how these rooms compare considering the Oriental is refurbished?
Thanks in advance!

We stayed at the Oriental and really liked it. Loved the location at the waterfront with the nice walk along the water. Liked the shopping mall under the hotel. Very nice pool!! Good food at the hotel. I love big hotel big breakfast buffets. I think our room was refurbished, but either way it was pleasant and comfortable. Great service at the Oriental.
Just came back from spending 7 nights at Raffles Plaza. We were originally booked at Swissotel Stamford through asiarooms.com and upgraded to the Executive level at Raffles Plaza for S$70 more. It was worth it! The room was on the 25th floor, looking over Raffles Hotel. Executive floor lets you have free cocktails and yummy snacks every night in the private club on the 23rd floor and free use of the fitness center/spa.There was a concierge just for our floors to help woth restaurant reservations, checkout, etc. Plus the breakfast buffet was great-lots of Asian foods, enough that we didn't need lunch. Service was great and the location right on top of an MRT station is very convenient. We also walked to many places from here. I'd stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Singapore. This was the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at-I'm usually a budget, B+B traveller but we splurged and were treated like royalty.
