TDiva, You can get a visa on arrival at Denpasar airport. Just make sure that your passport is valid for 6 months after arrival and that you have several blank visa pages.

I am guessing that these are manned luggage storage areas, not lockers, so they should take baggage of all sizes. While Singapore is not Utopia, it would be hard to imagine a safer place to store luggage. Of course lock the bags and don’t leave anything valuable in them.

I think you will have to use the Left Luggage facilities located in the “public area”, which means either those at Terminal 1 or 2 which are not in the “Transit Area”. This is because you won’t be able to collect your checked luggage from the India-Singapore flight at the baggage carousel until you have gone through Immigration and are outside the Transit Area.

Make sure the bags you want to leave in Changi are checked only to Changi if you are going from India directly on to Bali via a connection in Changi.

My only comment on the plan overall is that to make sure you have enough time between flights. In each case, you will have to go through S'pore Immigration twice and security once to get in and out of the Transit Area and to the bag storage areas, which will add time. Once you land in S'pore on your flight back from Bali, you will have to collect the bags and then get them tagged to your final destination. I believe you will have to bring them to the check-in counters in the Departure Hall to get them tagged. You may also need to pick up a boarding pass in S’pore if your airline in Bali can’t give you one, so that may add time to the connection time as well. If your flight from Bali is delayed in arriving, this could become a big issue in collecting your bags in time to make your connection.

If you only have 1 or 2 bags, it may just be easier to bring them all with you unless you have a pretty long layover in Singapore, or are spending a night on each end in Singapore.

It is also possible that there are better flight options from Denpassar to get back to your home airport rather than going through S'pore (i.e., via Hong Kong or Japan), or even a non-stop from Denpassar to your home airport.

I've used the storage facilities at Changi short term. They are indeed manned check rooms, not lockers (which I think may be safer anyway). They are all the way in the basement - one floor below arrivals as I recall.

It is safe to leave luggage for few hours , but not for 5-6 days, because they don't have locker facility.

The visa-on-arrival is cheaper and faster than the one you get in the consulate, strange but true. The amount goes by how long you are going to stay, the longer the more expensive.

There are indeed storage (no lockers) in the three terminals, I did it for one day in Dec, I stored my stuff in terminal three because I was flying out of terminal three. The storage room looked organized and the people were very nice. I had my luggages locked but there are many opened shopping bags with stuff coming out of the bags. I think it should be OK.
