Singapore - Airport
We are flying to Singapore in less than 2 weeks. Which is better - to schedule an airport limo service in advance, or to grab a taxi at the airport?
Family travelling consists of 5 people. Will be traveling w/another family of 4 people, but I 'm guessing we will need a minimum of 2 cars.
Destination is the Four Seasons hotel area. Any idea of how much this will cost either way?
Are credit cards accepted for limos and cabs, or do we need to exchange US$ into Singapore $ at the airport?
Thanks!

There are what they call MaxiCabs which seat 6 plus driver. Not a whole lot of room for luggage though if you use all seats you might take two taxis. There is a very organized and efficient taxi line, well marked, right outside of the arrivals area. It is staffed. Alternatively, there is a counter where you can book cars. This would be less expensive by far than booking through the hotel. Prices are posted on Singapore airport's website, which also outlines in detail all of the options for transport to and from the airport. There are plenty of exchange counters and ATM machines right in the airport as well. Easy and quick to exchange money.
The FS is a very nice hotel. We enjoyed a five night stay there very much a fee years back.

I stayed there a couple of months ago and the taxi fare was around S$20 - 25 from the airport. Cabs are very easy to get in Singapore and there are plenty of them with virtually zero waiting time at the airport. Also, cabs there do take credit cards but I think at a surcharge.

Cabs, including large ones - maxi cabs or London cabs - are easily available at the airport. No reason to waste your money on an airport pick-up by your hotel which will cost many times the cost of two cabs. Get some Singapore dollars from an ATM or an exchange window at the airport.
