Yes. Very basic. Rooms are clean, quite small, each room has to twin beds (rather hard) and very thin towels in the bathroom. I only use it when I am flying in after midnight and departing in the morning before 7 or 8.
Singapore is so small, the taxi ride from your hotel to the airport will be under half an hour no matter where you are staying. So for me, it's not worth the bother to stay at the transit hotel rather than spend another night at my hotel in Singapore.

I've stayed at the transit hotel. It's clean, quiet, and you have a place to sleep and shower. It's extremely useful if you have several hours between flights and want to catch up on some sleep and clean up.
The transit hotel is airside, so in most cases you would need to be changing planes in Singapore. I suppose you could use the hotel if you had no checked baggage and could print your own boarding pass.

MY daughter and I stayed there last month. it was just as described above..Clean, basic, quiet, with a good shower. I don't think there was anything except towels and soap; no shampoo.
The rooms are rented in 6 hour blocks, then per hour after that. For our double it was $92 for the six hours from midnight to 6 am. Worked perfect for us, and we were happy to find lots of restaurants open all night.
Make a reservation. They can be cancelled up to a day or two beforehand, if I recall.

We've stayed there also and I second the comments above. We didn't sleep very well, mostly due to jet lag. If you have enough time to go through immigration and customs, I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza which is directly linked to Terminal 3.

virginiafish: do you understand that you must check in for your flight before you can access the transit hotel, because you will need a boarding pass to clear security? If you have luggage to be checked, you might not be able to check in at the airport the previous evening, and you certainly will not be able to take that luggage with you to the transit hotel.

Stan, you must have gotten a great deal if the Crowne Plaza was only 50% more than the Ambassador. I just checked a random date in November, and the Crowne Plaza was more than three times the price of the Ambassador.
Virginia, I expect your hotel in Singapore will be the same price or less than the Crowne Plaza, so it doesn't seem to be to be worth moving hotels. At that early hour, it will likely be 20 minutes to the airport from your in-city hotel.

Kathie-we are staying at the Marriott, with 2 free nights and paying $350 for the third, so I think we will hang out at the 24hr Starbucks until we can check our bags at 2:30 and go to the rest lounge or something. We'll have plenty of time to sleep on the plane. Thanks, so much, everyone!

Mixed feelings on this. It will be 25 minutes to the airport even at the best of times - sorry Kathie. Walking to the terminal from your hotel is great - switching for the last day is not. Given all of the new info I have now, I would probably bite the bullet and stay put at my S-pore hotel rather than changing. Sleep on the plane...

Posted before seeing your latest. Is it not worth it ON VACATION to spend the extra $$ for the night before your flight to get some sleep and to have a shower before the long flight home (no matter where you stay)? What if your flight is delayed or cancelled?

Well, it's been a few years since we were last in SIngapore, and the traffic certainly could have gotten worse. We usually clocked it at 20 minutes from the Grand Hyatt to Changi when we were catching that United flight out of Singapore. We'll get a chance to clock it again this year - sounds like we should leave a bit more time.
We haven't yet booked our Singapore hotel - seriously considering the Intercontinental in one of the Shophouse Club rooms, in part due to your rave review of the Club, Craig. The last of the contractors left today - so it's time to devote myself to trip planning.
