singapore accomodation?

hi

we are a family of 4, the minions are age 7 and 8. we will be arriving in singapore in August, stepping off after an almost 20 hours flight time in the early evening. we will be flying out of singapore the next morning on a short haul flight.

so i am looking at accommodation, i looked at the snooze lounge, transit hotels, etc, they seem to charge per person which is a bit steep for 4 people. how hard is it to get one of those free leather chairs at the airport? should i still splurge for a hotel? i was looking at the crown plaza at the airport. is that attached to the airport. any other suggestion?

thanks!

With kids I think I would want some form of hotel room, with bathroom, rather than sleeping in the public areas. However, Singapore has one of the best airports around, and you could see if this helps: http://www.sleepinginairports.net/asia/singapore.htm

Hotels in Singapore are quite expensive, but the transit hotel (Ambassador) inside the airport is quite reasonably priced. http://www.singaporeairporthotel.com...-transit-hotel I notice that have a price for a triple, I don't know if they have any rooms that would accommodate 4 people.

The Crown Plaza (also inside the airport) is nice, but much more expensive than the more basic Ambassador.

The Crowne Plaza right next to the airport (connected via bridges) and quite nice. If it is in your price range, it would be the best choice.

thank you, i've decided to go with the crowne plaza, its expensive but i think it will be the best $$$ spent after a very long flight. the ambassador hotel wont work for us because we have to get our bags and clear immigration.
